If you're looking for a cheaper route here's a good site i found... http://www.lineitup.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22 I was thinking about saving for a ZXi and maybe doing the same, just for something to do in the summer
Don't know what you'd do about having two manifolds, maybe at the point where they go into the downpipe(except not down coz it goes to back of car?) whap it in there and get a custom exhaust system from the back of that 3" or so
then you'll have to figure out how to get the intake and output pipes to engine... as far as what turbo, you might be lucky and find one that has the same flange as your manifold, if not i'm sure you could get someone good at welding to make your exhaust system fit whichever turbo you buy. Can get a descent turbo off ebay fairly cheap, and you probably wont want the biggest turbo you can find; something that spools up fast would probably be better! |

read an article a while back where a guy and a v10 m5 with a single turbo. the trbo was placed just b4 the back box and all piping was run under the car. keeps turbo cooler, easier mounting, get gasses from both banks to spin 1 turbo (can use bigger turbo other than twins) but then you loose out with the time it takes to pressurise the return piping. |
