Inspired by Intial D

I've been watching a anime called Initial D and in it, the main character has fitted a compressor to his crankshaft, which gives increased performance throughout the range of revs. Has anyone ever heard of this happening in real life or is it anime fairy tales?

Nope, no off-the-shelf option. There are people that have done it on similar cars such as the MX-3, Ford Probe/MX-6. Checkout www.mx3.com and www.probetalk.com

I've watched all of Initial D, it's probably the reason why i went for JDM stlye on my F...

I thought it was actually Chinese... the movie I mean.

Even though the cartoon was definitely Japanese

the movie is made up of chinese people but i think they got help directing it by japanese people as well as chinese

Yeah I watched Initial D on the plane as in the real version of it and took ages to track down what the film was lol gotta love that FC RX7 though

yes, the cast of the movie was mostly chinese... if i remembered it right, but it was not as good at the cartoon

In the live action version of the film they are Chinese actors speaking in Cantonese, acting as Japanese people in the setting of Japan. Just to clear that up.
