God yeah, as hughie says. Mine aint bling mate but it works. That chap has obviously spent sum serious cash. I didn't really spend a penny. I do believe I did it a much simpler way then that shiny fellow did though.

maf? maf? used to revs used to dip a bit at first but once i reset ecu it was fine. an aftermarket ecu would be needed, i recommend a thicker manifold-engine flange, unless you double up on gaskets like i did. For simplicity really you could do away with intercooler and all that lark. At 5-7psi intercooler wouldn't help that much. turbo kit will be coming off ebay soon, sell all the parts seperately. It'll cost me a million pounds to keep relisting the stuff. turboing a ba aint for the faint of heart I guess.

To add, it's up for sale because some bint drove into my car in march. Mazda needs few parts been sat on my drive ever since. I've had audi for a while now. still gotta finish my bike and top all that expense I've just been conned on ebay from purchasing a iphone 4. YAY!

Ok i have a 96 reg z5 engine and its only got 107k on the clock and has been owned by old people with easy life so at this point i would love to turbo it but whats confusing me 100% is MAF - who what is is MAF and what is the best (idiot proof) guid to follow with complete list of parts included that are needed with a minimum spend budget of best compatible parts to be used.... my mates honda civic aka flymo is sadly faster and i cant/wont have my 323f be beat by a rusted battered disrespected dark moss green shite "50,000hp" vtec kicked in yo lawn mower, i feel ashamed by it, i need help i just need 50-60hp any way possible.... Please help :cry:

MAF = Mass Airflow Sensor (it measures how much air is going into the engine)

Simple answer... There isn't one. As far as I know, no one on here has reliably turbo'd a 323F that has then gone on to last (by which I mean turbo'd a standard NA 323F engine).

Minimum spend you are looking at a few thousand, depending on how many parts you manage to fabricate yourself.

Bit's needed:

After-market ECU (read as expensive )
Wideband o2 Sensor kit
Exhaust manifold & Turbo (or supercharger and belts)
Piping
Inter-cooler
Silicone Hoses (they are more expensive then you think) & hose clamps
Lots of sheet metal (for fabricating brackets etc)
Someone willing to fit it all and wire in an after-market ECU (and then someone to tune that after-market ecu)

There is probably even more then I've forgotten about. E.g. If you want gauges in your car to monitor these what your turbo's doing etc.

Basically the cheaper and easier way to make more power is to do an engine swap or buy a new car :lol:

If I may correct it, living proof. Turbo'd a stock KLZE

Somewhat more complete list. BUT; this is not the way you must go! you can for instance do without een intercooler. A standalone is costly, but it is not fully needed. A simple piggyback will help too. This is done a lot in USA with the MX6'es

On the Dutch 323F forum a guy has done a 1.5 turbo project realitivly simple with a turbo from a Volvo 480, some custom flanges and made his own exhaust manifold. Random piping and hee presto.

So bottomline; Just start with your project and go step by step

1.5 turbo
