ok now I have been saving up some money to buy myself a GTR engine for my BA.. Now Im hooping to be able to do that next december so Im starting to look for the engine.
But they are wary hard to fine course there where made 2200 GTR. so i was wondering if it whould be possible to make a gtx engine as powerful as a gtr.
is a gtr not just a modified gtx??

And another thing.. I need a G series gearbox from a BA right? My BA is a '98 so I'm pretty positive thats a F series, Right?
So If any of you would just happen to have a G series box lying in your garage, and would consider selling it pleas PM me!

hmmm... I have three G-series boxes, two standard GTR engines, one GTR engine laying here in parts with forged internals, GTR group A rallyturbo, fully raceprepped top with custom bits.... I can see what is left when im done with project "bad ass BG Version 2" ;)

The GTX engine, the only thing they have in comon with the GTR, is the engineblock, just to put it very very easy :)

4WD box have weaker axles, C.V setups
converting to cable selectors is more work again
locking the diff is more work again
and the gearbox still has open diff and all the same problems that trashed 4wd box has (bearing failures)

FWD g series boxs have better axles/C.V stup
these gearboxs have had 1/2 the torque going into them since day one and last longer,
plus they weight less than the 4wd
