i had cause to remove the no. 1 spark plug cap but it won't go back all the way in, any tips.

Without an obvious, visual obstruction….. a firm press should be all it needs

At the end of the lead is a "pressure grip" that stops the lead falling out,
that can score the cap internally leaving a ridge - Remove cap, debur & good as new

hey thanks for the tips, it turns out that the inner parts of the lead wire at the end came out and in doing so i damaged the lead wire. had that replaced but then accidentally dislodged the connector wires... been running around buying new lead cables with no success once changed, however, had a scan done and it revealed the issue with the coil pack connector. Secured the wires and ... VOILA!!! all is well now. power restored and i can climb hills again. Thanks guys...
