Question for all you Lantis owners and those who have gone for the twin reverse light Lantis look!

Has anyone upgraded the bulbs in their reverse lights as compared to the reverse spot lamp I have fitted to Meanie, the standard reverse light on my V6 is about as useful as a chocolate teapot! :laughing6:

Stick some of these in:

http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/cree-leds/ ... -P21W-cree

(other suppliers available)

I have yellow 16w ones for the front indicators of my bike and they BRIGHT!. I also have a 1157 (dual function) version in red (30w I think) for my tail/stop light and that works pretty darn well to.

Yes they are pricey (they're doing a Black Friday 20% off orders under £125.....) but it'll be a lot brighter with them in.

Thanks Jon, have you had any issues with these interfering with the other lighting and/or the loom?

I had no problem with them on my bike and actually now have one LED brake light in the ZXi after a bulb blew (they come in pairs and the bike only needed one). No errors and work fine. I also have front LED side lights on the ZXi and again no issues.

Only issue I get is radio interference when I turn on my HID headlights weirdly, but that's another story.

The thing to make sure with LED bulbs is get coloured ones to match the intended use, relying on the coloured plastic could produce a washed out colour (pink brakelights anyone?!)

Thanks Jon, I have the same problem with HIDs on Meanie, also had LED 501/T10 sidelights for years on her.

I'm just a little wary of the newer style LEDs, the CANBUS ones and the Cree ones since I fitted CANBUS ones to the clocks and they blew the PCB board.

If you're using the Cree ones no problem though, they should be fine for me :)
