Post subject:  Door Mirrors from a BJ / Protege

Hi guys, I was reading the thread about pre-Ford and post-Ford differences, and got curious about the door mirrors. Mine has the post-Ford mirrors, so I thought about taking off the covers and spraying body colour as they've started to fade a little. Then I stumbled on these.....

Would these fit on a BA? I presume that the BA mount would have to be retained as the pillar angle seems steeper, but the mirror itself looks similar-ish....

I can't add anything to this post, other than it'd be interesting to find out! they look sweet. Are you after BG (as per title) or BA? I've done a pic search on google and web and it appears they might fit, but you might need to drill a new hole for one of the screws? hard to verify.. :/

Sorry Squidy, I meant to say the ebay mirrors are for a BJ (not BG as I originally typed) and I've got a BA, and wondered if they'd fit. They do look sweet :D

I do know that BJ mirrors don't fit a BA as the bolt holes are different.

Couldn't tell you if just the mirrors can be swapped

I know the rear covers can be done, but I'm not sure about the mirrors themselves...

Might be worth dropping them an email and asking if they know, or if their returns policy is such that you could order them, try them, and return them if they don't fit :dontknow: though that would mean you'd be out of pocket by whatever it costs to ship them either way :(

Are the covers between BA and BJ interchangeable then?

Go on Andrew, you know you want to!
