had a ford ranger key fob its looks the same as the one for my car,would it work if i try to code it to my car.

Check the back of the doofer, it needs to be a certain make, usually Visteon, and a certain model No. usually 41601. Unlikely to work if its not to the same spec as the BJ one. :wink:
