I wish to remove the rear drivers side brake caliper or at least move it but all bolts seem welded in place.Am in process of changing rear shocks and hand brake mech is in the way of the lower of the two mounting bolts for the shock. Have tried various sprays and heat and swearing to no avail!
...any ideas? Please! :?:

Hello Ian,
I've just checked the manual and there doesn't seem to be any special procedure, but the bolts are very tight on torque, see this picture:-

if that's right then you'll need a long bar and a proper professional socket, i.e. a strong hex one, not a double-hex one from a famous bicycle store.

P.S. I've never done that job myself on the rear, but I have on the front.

Big old bar on the rear shock lower mounts, they are tight!
