Hi guys,

This may be in the wrong section and I apologise if it is.

I'm needing to replace the drivers side brake light, however I have taken both securing nuts off the unit but still the unit will not budge.

I recently replace the passenger side and all I had to do was undo the nuts and out it came.

Anything different you need to do with the drivers side?

the lights are held on with tabs (opposite end to the screws), you just have to gently pull the light away from the car

hhhmm how do you mean opposite end to the screws (apologies but i really have looked thoroughly in the back of the light unit), the nearside one just came out easily when you loosened the nuts

undo the 3 nuts and give it a pull ;)

it can stick on the lugs, they are plastic parts that stick out and help it to locate in the right position, but you should be able to pull it no probs :)

Little round covers that have a clip to remove them, the nuts are behind there

No, you need to remove the jack cover to get to the third nut.
Do not pull until you have 3 nuts in your hand!

on the subject of the bulbs: i have clear ones or red bulbs...would red bulbs be bright enough inside the standard unit, give enough light on braking?
