Well I guess I shouldn't believe everything (I think) I see... Just went out, refitted it and timed the cycles on my phone:

Slowest: 14 sec cycle
Fastest: 6 sec cycle

Lesson learned

What did you think it did? Set the front/rears off alternatively or something?

Glad it's sorted! :thumbleft:

I was kidding. ;)

Still, 8 seconds is still a pretty big time lapse! :D

Mine has a much better variation than that. On fastest setting the wipers are at rest for no more than 2 secs.

Hi, I did this mod at the weekend, got the wiper stalk from a 51 plate 626 and it works fine (I have a 2002 Sport). If any one else wants one PM me, I can get another one off a 626 for £20 + P&P.

I timed the wiper sweeps with my phone and on standard intermittent it is 7 seconds.

I then changed the stalks and fast wipe is 3 secs, and slow is 12 Secs.

Driving in a drizzle, will be "yo snizzle" now.

I can confirm that the 626 int wiper stalk doesnt fit the BA.. or at least my pre-ford BA. Different connector blocks :(
