At first:

I have mazda 323F BA 1998 year, 1.5 Z5 - "post-lift". I want to swap my engine to BP04 from 323F BA 1996 year. We have problems with wiring ECU.

I have ecu with part numbers:

Z5B3 18 881C
E2T86876M3
Image

There I have two connectors

And on the back of ECU there we have connectors like this:

But in 1.8 one we have ecu like this (upper one):

And the connectors doesn't fit.

So - I need wiring diagrams of ecu pinout in my car 323F BA 1998 - Z5B3 because without this I can't swap engine.

Can anybody help me?

The 1.5 ECU won't run the 1.8 engine correctly, various sensors run at different voltages apparently. The easiest option is to get the wiring loom from the 1.8 your engine/ECU came from!

No no no, i don't want to plug ecu from 1.5 to 1.8. I want cut connector from ecu 1.5 cut connectors from ecu 1.8 and plug ecu 1.8 to electric installation in my car because I have another dashboard (post lift) and if I swap all electric then I should swap dashboard but I don't want to do that so I need pinout

Luki: Read carefully what maZZda says, and I'll say it again for you:

This project will break you!

Best go out and buy another BA, 1.8 or 1.5 whichever you want.

Then...........

Collect up all the bits, wires and plugs and sockets from your old one(s) and ... .take them to the scrappy, be happy!

Blahblahblah, I don't asked for what is better to do... I asked for ecu pinout. If nobody help me I'm gonna step by step do new wiring in my car for 1.8. I have big sentiment for that car and it's impossible to sold that car ever.

So, what about pinout?

Cant help with the pinout but you do realize that it really would be a lot easier (plug n play) if you just used a wiring loom and ECU off a facelifted 1.8 ?

Dude, i just opened my autodata 3.38 and inside i found the Z5 ecu pinout and there's a flip view of wire side in it so you can follow/find any cable you need.. I don't know where is the problem? :dontknow:
Or am i missing something?

I don't think that there's a difference between them..
By memory the second conector was for auto gears so it just falls out of the equation... the 3-th one i'm not sure and have to check.. will see about that..

Oh man, if there isn't difference - what does my topic do there?

Pre-ford - made by denso
Post-ford - made by mitsubishi

Pre-ford - 4 connectors
Post-ford - 2 connectors

Cable colours are different. My 2 connectors fit to 2 slots in pre-ford ecu from 1.5 but pinout is difeerent because in autodata I see that three pins are fit and I have empty slots for wire so if its different rest of wires could be mixed. Connectors in car behind ecu also are different...

If there aren't any differences I should have BP in my car today and not posting requests for pinout for my post-ford ecu.

So, we have 3 wires left to connect BP ecu to connector behind ECU and we don't know what they are for.

Could anybody help us and give us wiring diagrams / ecu pinout for postford ecu Z5B3 (or Z5B5 because I saw that postford cars have this ecu too)?

I know some members of forum have that pinouts/diagrams but nobody want post it, everybody sent it via PM to other members and I can't find anything.

Please help

If we had any information that would help you then we would post it.....what would be the benefit for us of not sharing the knowledge?
