I found on ebay a rebuild kit for the 1.8 bp engine, its comes with: pistons, rings, main bearings, gaskets, valve seals, oil pump, cambelt kit its in the states and will be £300 with P&P, is it worth it? The only other thing i'll need is the water pump. the pistons cam come oversized too which is a bonus. Ive got the engine in my garage, Im yet to start on it, but I want to strip clean rebuild it, then put it into my mx3. without starting work on it yet though I dont know the condition of the internals, so im holding off ordering the kit until I find out the state of the bores. |

Being a small company with low buying power that often means almost cost price, lucky I enjoy doing it! Some of those parts I probably wouldn't have. Buying kits like that from the USA often works out cheap, but quality is variable in the extreme. Stick with known names. |

Stay away from topline gaskets as far as you can. They are rubbish! I had wiseco pistons, it is a very known company, toga is a jap tuner wich i had for conrods, bearings and hv oilpump. Taylor ignition wires are good, but need to take care of them, they damage easily with disconnecting your leads from the pluggs. |
