All it says in the description - flick a relais at a certain amount of rpm...a bit costy though, could realize that for considerably less money...

There are valves within the intake manifold in the V6 and I think in the 1.8 and possibly the 1.5. The system is refered to as VRIS. Found this link via Google

This device lets you change the rpm for when the valves close/open.

Handy if you swap any DE for ZE V6 engine (2.5 or 2.0) and keep the inlet manifold.

the VRIS system is fab in a 1.8

lol its like a mini vtec, except without the different cams lol

depending on if u want low down torque or top end power it switches between the two controled by vacuum, linked to the RPM
