What engine size have you got?

Mine does this, dodgy inlet valve on number three cylinder, been like it for a couple, maybe 4 years, doesn't seem to affect performance on my 1.5 :D

Can't it be just condensation from the exhaust?

There's a clear, clear difference between smoke and condensation. I have condensation on a cold start. Smoke is a lot more obvious. I'd be worried if people couldn't tell the difference between the two.

Well I (and you aswell) haven't seen the smoke of his car, so... You might be right, I was only guessing. Notice the "?"?

I know. ;)

Didn't mean to offend or anything? :thumbright:

Was just saying that it should be easy to determine between smoke and condensation.

Try ramming a sh*t load of carb cleaner through it. I put a 500ml can through mine and it now purrs. Somethimes they get gunked.

If only the body work was as good as the engines on these!

Dude, Meanie gets Forte on a regular basis, are you saying put carb cleaner in the fuel? On my car she only smokes on start up, once warm shes fine :) ish :p

hi, I and my daughter both have 323f's 95 & 98 1.5's, & they both smoke on cold starts, oil smoke is blueish & smells of oil, water vapour on a cold morning start will smell sweetish of petrol.
blueish/grey smoke on start up usually is worn valve seals/valve guides when engine expands the gaps close & much less oil is drawn into intake & burnt you either live with it or spend a lot on a top end overhaul if it smokes all the time it could be piston rings blown head gasket or very worn valve seals/guides.
