This method should work.

1. All Doors closed, ign on.
2. Remove ign key.
3. Open drivers door.
4. Insert ign key, turn ign on, turn ign off, remove ign key.
5. Insert ign key, turn ign on, turn ign off, remove ign key.
6. Insert ign key, turn ign on, turn ign off, remove ign key.
7. Press and release the drivers door switch.
8. Press and release the drivers door switch.
9. Press and release the drivers door switch.
10.Buzzer should sound once or doors lock/unlock themselves.
11.Aim transmitter at sensor and press any button twice.
12.Buzzer should sound once or doors should lock/unlock.
13.If you have only one transmitter, wait 30 seconds. If you have 2 transmitters go to step 15.
14.Buzzer should sound four times or doors should lock/unlock four times.
15.Aim 2nd transmitter at sensor and press any button twice.
16.Buzzer should sound once or doors should lock/unlock.
17.Wait 30 seconds.
18.Test both transmitters.

Each step should be carried out within 5 seconds of the previous one. Drivers door pin switch needs to be working (Check interior light op.) and room fuse needs to be installed

Post subject:  Alarm Not Working

Hello, regarding you post above, I have a 323 ZXi V6 - 97 on a R plate. Since I have had it, the alarm and remote C/L haven't worked. I put it down to a dodgy remote so I ordered a new one. That didn't work so I sent the new one back with the old one, they checked the coding and sent them both back (the new one and the original mazda one) but still nothing. I have tried your advice as per above and I get the single beep, but when I press the remote twice there is nothing, then the 4 beeps come. The remote still doesn't work.

The alarm is a Cobra alarm which I presume was factory fitter. I have checked the obvious fuses but can't find a broken one. Have you any suggestions.

The Cobra remotes are done differently, have you tried this: http://www.club323f.com/club323f/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24023

I have a non-Cobra remote with two buttons, one grey one black and Roadster Robbie's method worked for me.

Hi,
I am battling with my remote control. I went and looked at the owners manual, and noticed that the central locking system fitted to my 1998 Astina is a Company called: "Samcor uP3 modular vehicle security system". They also state that the system is fitted to the highest level. Please tell me I can fix this problem without going to the dealer.
My name is Marius and I am from South Africa.

Regards.

Hi bud, cant help with your problem, just thought I would say hi as I am a South African, and to say there are a few South Africans / Zimbo's here in the club and living in UK. You will learn plenty about your car from here so check the site out well.

Hi Shayne,

Do you think there is anyone in the UK that would be able to assist. Do you think that the central locking company is South Afican.
Cheers. Your car same as mine, awesome :)

That worked perfect with fob I just bought. No flashing and beepingind but I finaly don't need a key to get in car. I got a cobra alarm as stand but that was disconnected by previous owners but the zxi fob programmed up no problem

I am stomped again. I locked car to go into tesco and came back out and fob won't work. I can't even get it to beep now to reprogram. What has happened now ? Does anyone else's just go all of sudden. This is twice its done this now. But last time I could reprogram now I can't seem todo that

Post subject:  Re: Re-coding remote transmitters - keep

And when this happens. Normaly I can press inside door lock and cl locks everything but that goes to. It's like it loses cl altogether. But normaly I can re prog. But can't today for some reason. Any ideas? Worked when I went in shop and couldn't unlock when come back

Grrrrrrrr why won it go into reprogram mode. Never had this trouble. Why has the fob and cl seem to stop after working when I went into shop. Fuses all ok by way

Alright kieranv6, I no how you feel, I had a similar problem afew years back, even on Tesco car park believe it or not, after cleaning the connectors inside the fob an replaced the fobs battery it was still iffy, the alarm antenna on mine had moved over time i relocated it back to its original place an that sorted the problem for me, it might be a long shot but maybe try looking at the wires on the alarm module, hope you get it sorted.

Post subject:  Re: Re-coding remote transmitters - keep

I know it's not fob or the antenna. Something gone wrong with cl system I think as of the fob was dead I still be able put the car into the reprogram mode. But I can't. After the steps nothing happens after the three door switch pushes. And it always done it fine before

For future ref. I just took out room fuse and put bk in. Then car went to program mode first time. Strange

Post subject:  Re: Re-coding remote transmitters - keep

Out of curiosity what is the "room fuse"?

Author:  kieranv6 [ Sun Aug 04, 2013 9:56 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Re-coding remote transmitters - keep

It is all eletric inside the car. Or extras inside like CD player clock, lights. It's only one that lays flat rather than stand length ways and is at the bottom. Also controls central lockings. It's a key fuse with lots of things through it
