i need to get my car booked in for the big 54k service very soon and was wondering how much the service usually costs, i also have purchased super 4 spark plugs, magnecor leads and an jetex induction kit all waiting to be fitted and i was wondering should i fit these before i put the car in for the service??? sorry if this is a dumb question but im not too good at the mechanical side of things, im thinking its too much of the scottish air is making me daft! |

If you have a 1.5 or 1.8 mazda will want around £480+vat !!!!! Mazda informed me that the cam belt change alone was £180+ VAT. My local garage charged me £87+ VAT thats £25ph * 2.5hours + £24.50 for the belt. I then had the oil changed, oil filter, engine flush and new braked pads inc fitted for £65+vat. I wil get the coolant and brake fluids changed soon and that will be another £65ish and then the only other thing is the valve clearance and even the guy at mazda said if your car doesnt sound tappety first thing in the morning or when cold dont worry about it. As for the parts fit them anytime Cheers Craig |

Mine's going in for the 108K service next Tues - £75 for normal service + £75 for cam belt change (inc VAT). Mark |

price for cam belt change seems about right but service charges seem to cheap check they do every thing acording to schedule using maz parts first |

Not sure, but will check. I know they have all the wheels off, re-diret washer jets, air filter, oil + filter. I also know they do more than just this, not sure what else though. Mark |
