This is an important question for me. When I first bought my 323f BA, I wanted to modify it quite heavily. Now that I have realised that the BA doesn't have a lot of aftermarket support I am questioning that thought. In 6 months of ownership, I have fitted 15" Eunos MX-5 alloys and a custom made stainless steel cat back exhaust. I was thinking of going further still with coilovers and eventually turbocharging. However, I have seen that aftermarket support for the BA is extremely limited to non-existent. So the main question here is, is it worth going the distance with the mods I have listed or am I better off keeping my BA as a daily and buying a 2nd car that has a much bigger aftermarket?

Problem is there aren't many BAs left in the world.
I always found the BA is a nicely balanced machine as Mazda made it, so altering one aspect of it will upset another.

Going back to the main question, do you think it's worth modding it or should I just leave it as it is from now on?

That all depends on what you want..
If you want to go to the shop and buy "bolt on" aftermarket parts then you go buy VAG or BMW and go "the trodden path", but you will not "stand off the crowd" much.
If you want to have some unique car, get the thing that don't have anything AM like parts and such, and mod it.
It will be the biggest effort of all, but in the other people eyes you will see evaluation of your effort and respect at least..
Well, at least that's what i get for my efforts on my both cars..
I don't do it for that realy, but it pleases me when somebody else like my work..
