I have a set of 17 inch 205 wide tyres on my ba and I don't really know what psi to run. The inside of the door card says 30 all around but thats for the stock smaller wheels, I've been running 35 for a while now but am unsure what the optimal pressure would be. It's only ever me in the car really, rarely a 2nd person, what would be the best pressure all round? or for economy or performance?

I always pump my 205/40/17 to 2.5 bars front and 2.3/2.4 rear wich is approximately 36psi front 34 psi rear.Never had an issue! whoop once i blew both front tyres(and bended wheels) on a cutted asphalt section(workers didn't put warning lights at night) with an edge more than 10cm.The cutted section was 2meters and flew into it with 70-80km/h..
I got lucky just with two dead tyres and bended wheels.
But yeah, 2.5/2.3 bars - 36/34 psi is the gold spot.

I have same 17 inch wheels/tyres as you and i have thrm set at 33psi all round, ride isnt too harsh and fuel economy is good too.

34 psi all round here on the 17's i used to run on the F and the 18's i now run on the civic
