How much approx will a 1.8 BA be from the motor factors such as Andrew Page, I would order from FPS but my mechanic wants to order it himself which should be from a motor factors as this means if anything goes wrong he can have it replaced :?

Also which one will a 96/P BA require as I gather there is 2 types?

Cheers :)

I wanted to order it from you mate but when I said i've found one for the price your selling them at he said he would need to order it himself(usually uses Andrew Page or KG Motaquip) because if he was to break it when fitting he could get a replacement or something?

I think most garages prefer to order the parts themselves - saves the customer ordering the wrong part and messing them about. At least if they order the wrong part, it's their fault and they can deal with it

Not sure how you can break a clutch...unless you fit it with an angle grinder? :dontknow:

I've no idea, it is my gf's dad that will be doing it though so its not something I can argue about really , maybe you're right though Hughie as he does own his own garage but tbh I dunno why he won't just let me order it as I'm guessing it will be cheaper :?

Hmmm he should be alright with it then I would have thought

I know when I fix people's compupers, I prefer to order parts myself - many times before I've told them exactly what's needed, and given them links on ebay to parts that they could buy, they order the wrong stuff - if you want a job done properly, it's best to do it yourself, sorta thing :dontknow:

No but he doesn't know that does he? :p You're dating his daughter, you're an idiot

You could send him the FPS link and say I recommend this guy, but then I'd just leave it up to him :)

most garages like to order parts themselves so they can make a bit of money on parts prices,

what ever it costs them from the suppliers you can garantee they have put there 10% on it before they bill you
