Ive noticed today that when I come to a stop the revs drop to 1k for a second or two then drop down to 750 where it was set, could this be due to a dirty maf? |

Mine does it sometimes, it's not bothered me so far, I'm putting it down to the freezing weather. Having said that, it did start hunting pretty bad the other day. It's not done it since so I can't investigate it, gonna get huggles to set my idle. |

Its fine up and down the revs, maybe it is just down to the cold weather. Like you say stu the idle might need resetting? |

Cool, We reset it a while ago. The car doesnt stall, its just the revs stay at 1k before dropping to the correct idle. |

Is it just when stopping Darren? Mine does it too - I blame the cold, and the fact that we reset the idle not too long ago I'm guessing if you're slowing to a stop, clutch in, let the revs drop, they sit at 1k until you stop, then they instantly drop to 750ish? There is no harm in it doing that, it's better than stalling ![]() You could always adjust the idle slightly again if you wanted, however I did that a couple of months back - I closed it 1/4 turn, and the revs would drop to about 450 every time I stopped. At one point, heavy on the brakes, it did stall so I turned it back up again. I did have the air con on that time though...

I know we reset it only a short while ago. I just wondered why its doing it when it didnt before

Mine did the same since the weather. It stayed at 1100rpm even when i stood still. I adjusted my idle abit & its better still it hangs @ 1000Rpm & then goess to its normal 750-800. |
