I'm getting a noise from OSR wheel bearing, it didn't have any grease in it so i'm guessing thats one reason for the noise, the other could be that its gone. It sounds like an electric drill powering up and down.

My first question would be how hard are these to change and what is a good rate for a NON ABS rear wheel bearing? I've seen some advertised for over £100, in which case the car whill be going to the scrappers as its not worth doing I've also seen some for just over £50.

Any advice or places to find a cheap bearing appreciated.

Jack car up and try to move wheel. If it wobbles side to side then you need a new bearing. I got mine from FPS at a very good price

Hey its not wobbling, theres no movement in it at all when i jacked her up this evening. But it grinds like its chewing grit when you turn the wheel.

Quite a good price on FPS, i'll see what its like tomorrow after bunging with grease. If its no better i'll order one up.

My dad done it. Done the front though so it was a b*tch lol. Back should be easier

rear is super easy. remove wheel, undo hub nut, remove hub, fit new hub, lock hub nut with a hammer and a punch, fit wheel. should take at most half an hour

Cool!!! found a new bearing for £26.00 delivered, so she will be living to fight another day.

Reckon its a combination of snow and me loving the way it takes corners at speed! Can't get over just how good the handling is on these for a car with such shitty wheels and tyres.
