I have a new steering wheel, non airbag, and am waiting for the steering boss to arrive at which point I will fit it to my car. What resistance do I have to fit for the Airbag light to not come on, and where do I fit it. Is there a guide on here for this procedure, I cant find one. Thanks |

Who there say my name?!?! ![]() Debz is right, it's a 3.3ohm resistor ![]() You need to remove the bit of trim behind the steering wheel (it splits in half, just pry the top off) - there are 3 screws underneath to do that. It will take some wiggling but it does come off ![]() Then unscrew the clockspring - again, 3 screws which can all be seen on the front. Remove and unplug that. The connector for it has 3 wires - 2 are for the airbag, the green/red one is for your hootah! Extend the green/red one, make sure it keeps in constant contact with the ring on the back of the boss kit. The other two, bridge them with the 3.3ohm resistor. There you have it - working horn and no airbag light Let me know if that doesn't make sense, I'll hack my car apart and take some photos
