As some of you are aware I purchased a new car today. Since the demise of the SP20 I have been on the lookout for a 2.0 Toyota Celica, the decent shaped one" But I was fnding them hard to get within my proce range in good condition - anyway after much deliberation on variouse other cars this one came up. ![]() ![]() ![]() The paintwork is pretty good in itself as you can see in the sparkly pic below:- ![]() Its not all good though - the dreaded Rust ![]() ![]() The car drives well but does have a few faults - Gearstick needs rubbers replaceing - its slops around all over the place Drivers side windows do not work Clock doesn't work Stereo doesn't work No Fogs, skirts or front lip, no stainless sillplates. The pictures do the paintwork much more justice than in reality as per normal with pictures. So yes its a great car but it does need some work to make it right, the previous owner has looked after it pretty well thankfully ![]() Ohh and the name is "The Messiah" due to number plate and the fact that today on the drive back home it passed 66,666 miles on the clock - didn't manage to get a pic of that but I nearly did .... will post that pic later.

A stunner mate, and any car of the age of ours needs some attention, think you have done yourself proud with this one. |

I will be selling the suspension on as you used to call her The Black Thing in about a month after sand blasting them and giving them a decent bit of paint |

Cheers for the comments guys. Well tonight I took out the old stero, rewired the new one in, (It had previously had a burn't out loom so wiring wasnt quite straight forward). I now have working stereo with 2 working speakers, will get the others to work when I get more time. I also fixed the sloppy gearstick by changing the rubbers in the connection underneath, now changed gear like it should do. Had a look at the drivers side electric windows and not quite sure what to do - the alarm is wired in from that loom ad it appears that its not quite as straight forward as I first thought it might be. Might have to test the actual motor to see if thats working as do't want to mess with the alarm wiring. |
