well, i was gonna keep this a secret and do a reveal at JAE 2008 - but a lot of people know about it already (as i've already needed help with stuff and with buying things) so, here she is:
she's a Brilliant Black 1.8 pre ford with G series Box, engine was over filled with oil - she's been broken into in the past and has a lot of lumps and bumps |

this is where the new engine came from:
And here it is after delivery:
there's a few bits missing from the GTX at the mo, am waiting on delivery of them, so for now i'm just gonna try and sort out some of the niggling problems with the F, then start stripping her down ready for her new Heart and then start on modding her up to pretty much the same spec as my other F Thanks to Ronin for the 2nd Cusco and Maylander for the ECU Expect a long list of wanted parts in the near future Thanks for looking |

chers mate - i guessed you'd know about the car as Saf was also interested in it, thought it was a bit unfair to keep it hidden any longer, plus if i need help i can get it a lot quicker now A lot of rain up our way at the mo, went to look at the car and i have a lake in the passenger front foot well also, the keys only open the drivers door and work the ignition - drivers seat has come away from it's rail - boot doesnt open on the push button, both bumpers are out of alignment and the connector to the reverse light on top of the gearbox is bust
oh yeah, and i got an aftermarket alarm to somehow cut out of the wiring

![]() and do what to it??? (you're just jealous that i have an original Brilliant black car - joking)
i'm happy with the N/A car as it is - i decided at the start if i wanted a turbo then i'd have to get a 2nd car to take the N/A car any further would cost a lot...a lot more than what i've spent on this project Thanks for the words though fella |

It's a shame that putting GTX in your first car would have meant wasting Mark's engine mods... You're gonna have two awesome cars by the sounds of it! Question is which will be the daily driver?
PS. I'd rather have a fresh layer of brilliant black

How have i missed this
All the best mate, i do hope matey gets his ass into gear soon and you get the much needed bits. Are you still thinking of having some work done down here? Im getting some quotes soon (by a friend of a friend) for Lou's car so i can give you a ball park figure depending on bodywork condition. Not another puddle in the car you seem to be jinxed Best of luck tho mate |

Not another puddle in the car you seem to be jinxed Best of luck tho mate i got a rust pastch on rear arch and a few scratches - nothing that warrants a respray at the mo - my sis wants to get her jeep resprayed though - if you could get a quote for that that would be great

I don't know! I get a black type R and suddenly they are appearing all over the place, so I get a black 1.8 and this happens! Right, I'm spraying mine green and pink, with brown stripes, let's see who follows that one!!!
Only joking (which you should have guessed! lol) Nice one Matt, can't wait to see how it progresses, I should think it (does it have a name?) and Rogue will turn out VERY differently!

i dont name my cars - which gets a bit confusing
i was surprised over the colour - i honestly thought is was twilight/noble - it was advertised as black (as a lot of them are) and i just bought it off ebay without even looking at it and used a friend of a friend's pick up company to go get it for me
still waiting on parts, got a new battery to allow me to move her around a bit, and then i'll start ripping her guts out either over xmas or early in the new year (need some nice weather though )

yep - thankfully new battery did get her going again although, she has a "slight damp problem", any advice greatfully taken |

I think someone mentioned a problem with water in the footwell and it was due to a bad seal on the bottom of the windscreen. Other than that if it has a sunroof check the sunroof drain but you know about that coz you posted that up for someone else not so long ago. Hopefully it'll just be an easy fix for you mate |
