Actually the girlfriend found it on e-bay and we won it for just £10!

I'm now thinking of all the possible ways of doing it up as there are some minor structural bits to attend to then it's fancy pants time :cyclopsani:

I'm trying to make a complete list but initially the crossbeam that the lights and radiator bolts to is a little bent, there are some very minor rust spots and the radiator has a crack in the plastic top bit.

So far that's all I've found apart from some cosmetic stuff.

I've not gotten dirty under it yet and seeing as it's going to snow over the next couple of days I don't think I will be ;)

My dad polished it up for me while I was cleaning the interior and it's a glorious black colour :D

Spoiler Mmmmmmm (starts digging in the upholstery for loose change)

How much were you thinking of selling the GT spoiler for?

The only reason I'm asking is I need to save up the cash for it :colors:

Just managed to log into here again after losing the links and passwords having done an OS re-install twice since moving to Cornwall. I Noticed that 2 of the original 3 picture links had died because I used Imageshack back then, having used Photobucket for quite a while now I thought I should upload the old pictures to the new account before adding the links in here ;)

Sorry if this is considered Necro Posting but I couldn't help myself I did however update the title to make it more like the current posting guidelines :alien: so please don't crucify me for this post :doubt:

Definitely a good thread resurrection, BG for a tenner? Can't argue with that :)

Yep HE's still going strong, since we got him we've had to swap out the Rad, Rear Springs, Exhaust Back Box, the Cam/power steering/alternator Belts and all the brake pipes but the next big job on the horizon is to replace the Water Pump Gasket as it's leaking from the side of the housing.

We still haven't done anything to the body though and the sea air is making the roof hatch start to rust and we can't have that so this year we'll be fixing the rust issues before they get too big!

Thought it was about time I updated the forum with some NEW pictures of the car so here goes...

Image

Ours is the one in the middle  and a nice arty shot with Yesterdays Super-Moon in the sky!

I promise I'll do some better shots of the car when we've had a chance to clean and de-rust it more, as it stands it looks a bit like a breaker :(

I hate to say it Morgiboy but there's a saying about Berkshire people that goes like this, "Berkshire people born and bread, strong in the arm and thick in the head" :P If your wasting fuel in the recession at the really stupid prices that are about now than it might just be true what they say ;)

Yeah Mazz, stop being a one woman Global Disaster and try lifting your foot up a bit :P

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Gilby just failed his MOT with some pretty serious welding and the door locks / C-Locking doesn't work properly, plus one of the wheels has a flat tire so it's sat on the spare now  I've got my eyes on a couple of BG's for sale on here so we'll see if I can't at least keep the spirit of the £10 car going for a few more years by using the parts I'll get off of him to keep our next BG on the road!

The really annoying thing is I just fitted a good sunroof and a new water pump a month before the MOT was due because the old water pump (original as it happens) finally broke at the spindle and clattered to a screeching halt right before my eyes as I was looking to see where the water was leaking from!
