I have removed this much black gunky glue from the doors:



Finished replacing the old tatty plastic membrane in the doors with Dynamat Lite:





Looks much better, very pleased with how it went on and quite easy to work with.

While she was stripped out I decided to change the rubber weatherstrip around the rear door.
The original rubber was bubbling up from the metal below:

I had hoped to have the tracking checked last week,
but unfortunately on her first trip out in just over 9 months she kept stalling every time I stopped.
Made a very nervous drive back from the petrol station with cars up her a**e

I did read the thread for sorting this problem, then my local mechanic suggested removing and cleaning up the throttle body.
This does seem to have sorted the idling problem and on Wednesday, my day off, she should be off to get the tracking checked, ready for some trips out to clear the cobwebs.

Wanted to share a few more pics, taken while sorting out some pics for my insurance company.







Pleased to have been able to get the finish back on the air box, after it came back opaque and cover in lacquer overspray:

What if some little dust now goes there and lands on top ? im just jelous I cant make mine like that

I just have to stop every 5 mins to give her a check over and dust her off

This weekend I jacked her up to get under the new sills,
wanted to apply some underbody sealant to the inner edges where they were supposed to be waxoyled already

After wire brushing the loose rust and bits I used some Hammerite body sealant with added waxoyl.

Very easy to use and very pleased with the results, does just what it said on the tin.

Collected a few more bits from Mazda this week.
New adjustable toe bolts, arms etc for the rear wheels,
my current set have probably never been touched since 1997, and are all one solid piece.



While my mechanic is fitting them he will also fit my Whiteline lower strut brace / sway bar.
Came from my old friend Nick, before he scrapped his lovely red F.



and finally my latest Lego garage addition, still to be constructed:

to celebrate our 13th Wedding anniversary back on the 1st June

The new parts were fitted yesterday, so today she went off to get the tracking sorted out.

I took the long way home over Zig Zag Hill, and the new Yoko's and set up feels great, really hold the road well.

Put a really big smile on my face.



I still need to wait for confirmation for my Agreed Value from Adrian Flux, before going too far.
(The F is only covered for the market value until then )
