The other weekend we bled the brakes to see if that was the brake issue.
there were some small bubbles in the front driver side caliper but not much at all :?

we're looking at different brake pads and have contacted EBC and they are willing to make some yellowstuff pads in hte hope that they will cope with the higher temperatures.
:D

Also got some new sickspeed horns and a big heavy knob

Lookin good mate, I don't mean to insult you, but why not just buy Chi's car and keep as it is? I always loved that car, but i'm guessing you couldn't let yours go?

1 -because it would always be known as "Chi's car"
2 - they'd already put a lot of work into their own
3 - although Chi's car looked good, it still needed a lot of work on the wiring side of things so was just as quick if not better to take the engine out and check the wiring as they put it into their car as it would have been to try and sort the wiring out in Chi's car
4 - because chi's car was bought purely for the engine

Nice work guys.

Did you buy Chi's car whole? You might have a bit of Moby if you did. The battered Mazdaspeed steering wheel was from Moby. :D

Pretty much as Matt said :) The wiring for the dials wasn't connected either so the interior needed stripping and there were a couple of leaks which needed attending to, and if we'd have just swapped cars then it wouldn't have been a project  haha

the installation needed some work too as some bolts were missing and we wanted to change the layout of the engine bay so the various components looked like they belonged there.

all comments welcome though :D

@ Rob, we did yeah but the steering wheel had been replaced with a Sabelt dished one, did still have the mazdaspeed horn push though! :D

Ah I see mate, like I say I wasn't trying to cause offence or anything I just really loved the styling of Chi'scar personally, but I can understand you obviously would appreciate the car you've built more :thumbright:

Great idea! I think your USB socket may be the wrong way round though (unless you're plugging the ecu into the front) ;)

I have a short female usb A to a male usb B lead so i can plug the ECU in behind the dashboard and then just use a standard male usb A to male usb A lead to plug into my laptop and ECU :D
