That back box looks bang on to me, lovely job!

Did you go have it made, or a secondhand jobbie?

I decided to give the bonnet a going over last night. Ideally it needs machining but that can wait till another day.

I also need to invest in a paint touch up kit.

First off I clayed the bonnet. Bare in mind all it had had was a few washes since being on the car.

The result

Next I used the paint cleaner

Then I moved onto the Ultimate Polish

After the polish I moved onto waxing it

And the result

And a reflection

I then moved onto the rear reflector panel and I used Plast-rx

And the result

Ive been trying for ages to get a reflection of the exhaust tips in the rear bumper but im not having much luck. The best I could manage was this

Nice work :)

When you want a touch up kit, try MX5parts - they do genuine mazda ones for under a tenner ;)

This morning the car had a wash (with a watering can of course) and then the DA came out to play. I only managed to do the bonnet and one wing as after this I was feeling worn out. I applied a nice coat of Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax after to finish off.

COBB Tuning filter fitted. Many thanks to Clarky and Alan for helping. The filter opening must be at least 100mm so some fettling was needed. Induction kit is coming out soon as ive never been 100% with it.

It was an easy one - can you check that the gasket/ collar is all seated properly where it comes through the metal? I thought it was when I fitted it, but now I see your piccy I'm not so sure... :?

I'd kick myself if something happened and I didn't say!

It is - its the angle of the pic - I had another poke afterwards. I think it'd be safer to put a filter bagey thingy on it to keep road muck and the weather out.
