Fitted a mazdaspeed handbrake cover...I like it

Handed in my notice today, and got told I didn't have to work it...so...

I fitted a nickel finish positive battery terminal, with integrated volt meter - handy way of keeping an eye on the battery level when parked at shows with the bonnet open, and the lights and stereo on







I need to tidy the wires up a bit, might route them differently...

And I got a delivery while I was packing my tools away, my Heko wind deflectors arrived

I've had a set of Mazda ones for a while, and never fitted them as I am still not too sure, and the mazda ones are 'permanently' fitted, while these just clip into place, so I can take them off if I decide I don't like them

I also thought I'd post this pic in here too, Oli took it at a local UKModded meet, and I love the way it looks

Looks evil in that pic - i didnt think Heko did them for the BJ - sure I checked before I got my climair ones.

Looks good mate - I had a Buddyclub voltage stabiliser/earth kit at one point that had an on board voltmeter - it came with a trip swith to the bonnet catch to make sure it went off when the bonnet shut - but it was a bigger beefier display than that - sure it'll be fine.

I fitted some drilled and grooved discs on the front today - rears will come later in the week

They always look more manly somehow dont they?? Least on the BJ Sports they're nice big discs to show off with...

I decided that whilst it still allowed some practicality - I can still get the shopping in the boot - the big subwoofer box looked a little dull...so I had a go at tarting it up a bit

I got the router out, and cut a fair bit of the wood away, so I could fit my new parts in "sub-flush"





then came the covering - it's a pretty bug box, and it was pretty hard to cover it in one piece of cloth, with no folds or creases







As the flash is on, you can see the silver bars beneath the cloth, you don't normally see them...

After cutting the cloth to fit the bass units, I thought I'd test the electonics





then it was a case of re-fitting the bass units, and wiring the new bits up to the remote power for the amps, so they only illuminate when the head unit is on

back in the car...







Hard to capture with the camera, and they are pretty subtle (of course) but you get the idea...

The old exhaust was looking a bit tatty...








so I replaced the stock manifold and cat with an OBX stainless steel decatted one





Engine bay looks sooo much better now

Make sure you keep the stock one mate, and make sure you send away the warrent card! I'd not had much luck with mine

I have a stock one if anyone needs it due to engine change if you need it joe p.m me

Sorry for the confusion, just me being ignorant of technical matters again.

As you may already know, I had a few problems after fitting the magnetbra...





I also had hundreds of stone chips on the bonnet, so now seemed a good time for a respray

As it was...












and as it is now... still some compound and rain spots, but you can see the difference
