not really an update, more of a new pic after the weekends tinkering, car now handles a treat after the drop links and bushings have been replaced, handles like a different car 8), swapped over the rear nearside strut as the old one had started to develop a leak, just need to get the top mount for the front, only the bearing is going(starting to seize and stick), but i may as well change the lot rather than just the one bit.
and with still being impressed with the white wheels i did the calipers too, every bugger in our local boy racer hang out spot has bright red calipers, so i decided to be different(for a change) and do them yellow 8)

cheers ayrton, yeah its just little bits going on at the moment, but they are starting to add up to the bigger picture.

Ive ordered these for the centre caps on the wheels too, the full white look needs to broken up just that little bit i think

not a lot to add recently, have a few bits on order from ebay to arrive, a few jdm goodies en route.
also started a saving fund for something a little bit extra special indeed.
but need to sort out the handling first...
feels like the front wheels are not actually connected to the car.
mot reveiled that one of the top mount bearings was starting to seize, so i intend to replace them both, as well as replace both front drop links and track rod ends.
are there any front end bushings i should be thinking to replace also?

finally picked up my new lockwood white dials from the post office depot....adam, they are spot on mate :D, also started to put together a list of all the parts i can think of to sort out the front end.
Are the control arm bushes pretty straight forward to swap over?

Image

pretty happy with the way she is looking at the moment, but a fair few things will be happening over the next week or so,

but first a bit of a roll call of thanks for upcoming changes

White Lockwood Dials - adamhicks
Clear side repeaters - Cosmos1989
Armrest console - Dale
Post Ford front fogs & Switch - mazdaman88
Mazdaspeed front splitter - mazdaman88

Thanks guys, your help is apprecited, as is advice from you all on how to fit bits ive not tackled before(dials - stuartspel)

also recieved some nice mazdaspeed dustcaps
and the shine is courtesy of a bog standard buffer bought from cash generators, the search continues for a decent one though :D

Cheers Ayrton, its my own fault its very oily under there....typical schoolboy error, topped up the oil, forgot to replace oil cap and went out in the car.......oil everywhere, even in places i didnt believe oil could reach...oops

ill have to have a look out for it, ive heard you mention it before and how good it is :D

I had the same problem with the intake haha, i planed to get it all polished but there is so many stuff on it, i gave up on that idea und just polished what i could... Ive never seen it painted on a 1.5, only stock or polished, so i will just leave this here...

thats certainly different....lol, i do believe another member from here Mazz did paint hers red.......looked good too, but if i were to paint mine i would probably go for a blue/white combo, mines even worse to get to now ive added the strut brace....lol

ive just decided to try and set an hour aside a day to clean little bits of the bay at a time.... :D, well thats the plan anyway ;)

well, all being well, this will be getting delivered courtesy of mazdaman88(Graham) on friday.. :D :D :D

Image

its had a bit of a ding on the passenger side, but from close up shots, nothing that cant be repaired and repainted.....

i think this will now be the third incarnation of womble's front end...... 8), and the last, as ive been after one of these for long time now.
