It's lowered 30mm on the Apex springs...and yes, an exhaust is next on the list

Finally finished my new sub box today

the old one, for those that don't remember, was a very subtle affair, made for some kenwood 6x9 subs, with a recess for the amp, and two hooks that held it in place to the clips on the back of the seats...I did a pretty nice job I reckon, and even made a separate grille so they'd stay well out of sight

However, now the sport is no longer a "family car", I decided I could spare a little boot space, and built a new box, based around the existing kenwoods, and a somewhat larger drive unit I had in my cupboard :evil4:

I built it to fit snugly at the top and sides...

and left room at the back so the amps fit...just

The 6x9s fill in the bass nicely, while the 15" unit gives some much needed low down grunt

Fitted a few more LEDs to the interior today

A couple of pics taken in the late afternoon...

The dash in "blue" mode...

The new improved window switches, which illuminate the handles too - stops people from scrabbling around in the dark trying to get out :lol:

Then I took some pics at night, bit blurry, but you get the idea

Passenger side

Drivers side - red on blue

Managed to get them dark enough so they're not distracting, but bright enough to show the switch and handle

put a resistor in line with the feed to them, reduces the voltage a tad - I used a potentionmeter to get it how I wanted it, then took a reading from that to select a resistor close to that value

I was a bit bored with the boot, quite a nice install, no fancy LEDs

I had fitted 15 white ones, which come on with the central locking / door open lights...not very bright though...

So, today I fitted a few more. This system is powered by the bootlight, and also by remote control :evil4:

The brightness is adjustable, and they can be nice bright white...

or, at the push of a button, pretty blue

or green...

or red...

or all of these, and anything inbetween :laughing6:

It is pretty heavy, but I can lift the box easy enough

the amps are on a separate board (so they can stay in the car with the subs removed) and that weighs a fair bit too! At a guess, I'd say 25-30kgs :dontknow:

it was an amazing car the first time i saw it...
and now its near perfect!
if i had a BJ... i would be modeled on yours Marc...
i was thinking about doing the same with my sub install but as errnee said:
i dont like my car enough to do that...
il buy one i wanna keep like a GT:P
and look at doing something....

They are in the map reading lights :thumbup:

I made a new interior light with 9 white LEDs, and there are the footwell and sill lights, again all with white LEDs...the map lights were kinda yellow in comparison, but now thanks to you, they're lovely white LEDs too :cheers:

Fitted a new LED fog light today, many thanks to Stu.13 :notworthy:

Also got busy at the front and fitted HIDs to the high beams

Fitted the slimline ballast type, mounted them in the bumper

Old on the right, new on your left

Stuck with 6000k, so they match the low beam ones perfectly
