Has anyone attempted this conversion in a BA that had a V6? any advantages/ disadvantages?

Also dont they sell a turbo conversion kit for the v6, would it be cheaper to buy that than have an engine transplant done with a 1.8 gtx?

would u get more power from a 2 litre v6 turbo potentially?

Dont think its been done, my issue would be the gearbox.... hubs... 5 stud Vs 4 stud... wiring loom.. nasty.. best to swap 1.8 NA to 1.8 Turbo :)

They do sell a turbo kit for the V6 :) If you are going form a v6- BPT.. then yes it woul dbe best to buy a bolt on kit for the V6 and get the internals sorted :)

Yes the 2L v6 turbo would produce more power than a std BPT :)

Rotrex supercharger would also work; would mean that the internals could stay the same (as there's no sudden 'bang' on the engine like you get from Turbos). all that would be required then would be a programmable ECU to sort out the timing!

might have a problem fitting that into the engine bay though..... not a lot of space in there.....
