GET THAT ECU SORTED!!

.....then find a discounted tyre supplier as you'll soon be needing them!! :D

...wonder how much faster it would be with some soft tyres.... Hmmmm.

You can always borrow Andy's 17s with the Eagle F1s on them... ..just for an experiment! :cyclopsani:

It'd be slower in a straight line with soft tyres, but faster off the line, faster cornering and faster stopping. :)

Tis niiiiice :D

You might want to get some dials in your cockpit before you go tweaking the boost toooo much - and don't do it without high octane fuel or octane booster!!! :)

Dont really need the ECU yet, first job...

Boost controller

then...

2 1/4" or 2.5" full exhaust with high flow CAT

then..

bigger fuel pump, walbro RX7 pump will do fine :D

Better air filter, will prob put my Jetex DCAF back on the car :D

then I want a bigger turbo, not too sure which yet, I might get a high flow VF10 for now as its pritty much a bolt on turbo, hybrid for the GTX manifold, (no need to swap her)

then...

Microtech LT8 ECU...

then...

bigger injectors from a 7MGTE Supra or some RB26 Skyline GTR
injectors , might fit a FSE aswell :)

thats pritty much the plan for the engine mods :)

I dont know how much BHP that would give, id like to think it would be in the region on 220 -250bhp :)

then LSD from a type R 323f :)

then kill myself in it :D

Shaggy, you really should be running higher octane fuel. You run a much higher risk of detonation especially when you run it hard with the extra boost you've dialled in! The GTX will might be expecting it too :? Please mate, for me :|

You wont need the injectors with the standard turbo or even the VF10.
I only now need the larger ones as am chasing 200kw atw. I will let you
know if the RB26 GTR ones are a direct fit I got them today and will have
them cleaned and fitted on friday.
I would go a 2.5" exhaust and wouldn't bother with the fuel pressure reg
either.

Regards

Mal

Currently im unsure of the power dave, Ive got a full 2.5 zorst/boost controller turned up2 11psi and a walbro 255l pump, I predict it will be around 195-200bhp after a good service and a RR tune :)

IF you are thinking of a gtx/r I would advise you find one in the UK, much easier than importing :) if you really want the addy I willPM you it, let me know

Ben

one critical thing i would like to remind the engine transplanters about...is the parts available for the GTX and the GTR, and the price on the parts...

GTR is rare and expencive....

would ba a crapper if you thrashed the GTR engine, and cant afford to fix it :) Therefore, you should have a good money to spare, if you go GTR :)

didn't want to create a new topic for one question so here it goes:
I'm planning to put a GTR engine into BA body. I'm buying GTR engine with the gearbox. The thing is that my friend badly needs this gearbox. So my question is would it be worth for me to sell him the gearbox and put a standard 1.8 BA gearbox onto GTR engine? How long would I last with standard geabox? And how much the GTR gearbox is worth?

GTR gearbox is 4wd - you cant really use the GTR box anyways

You really want a G - series box from the very early 1.8 BA's and i think the BG GT's(you might want to check that with someone) :thumbright:

Ye GTR box in uk are from 250-500+ depends on condition. But yes matt is correct, you want a G series ( G25-MR) if possibly , find them in the 1.8 1994/ early 95 BA's
