Hello guys!

My 323f BA 2.0V6 recently had both outer CV joints and one of the inner ones fail more or less simultaneously! :O

So i'm at a situation where i need to replace both driveshafts, complete with CV joints and all.

- But they are not sold anywhere!

So i'm trying here to see if anyone know where i can get a preferably new driveshaft for my dear f.

Thanks in advance guys!

Have a look at the following thread, it may help:

Thanks Patrick, i didn't realize there was already a thread for this, but it seems there are others than me that have the same problems.

Unfortunately, they didn't seem to resolve the issue, so i'm still stuck at the option of purchasing new one from Japan via my Mazda dealer for 650€ per side (bough the entire car for 900€, so it hurts a bit, even though it's for a good cause). The annoying thing is that if you buy a random driveshaft for any other car, you can get it for around 50€ :/

Sorry the thread didn't help.

I have not looked closely at the design, is it possible to get them refurbished? That is what happens in Australia on an exchange basis i.e. drop off old ones, get refurbished ones in exchange. Except in your case you'll need the same ones back due to the rarity of the vehicle.

One other option is you could try Mazda parts through Dubai/United Arab Emirates. I have heard of others ordering Subaru bits (genuine factory bits) from there at much cheaper prices. I guess basically this is because the UAE is a low-tax, low-cost crossroads clearing house for parts going everywhere... bit like Dubai airport for planes/people. :-)

You might need the actual part number though. Google for "mazda genuine spare parts dubai" Note I haven't ordered anything, so I don't know whether this will work. At the prices you're quoting it's worth an email though!

Well, i finally managed to find a used pair from a store in Denmark. I'm just hoping the inner CV joints on those are good, and hold for many years to come! :)

The driveshafts arrived, and they where good! No more knocking, and i can once again enjoy the luxury of accelerating while cornering (wow!)

Next time however, i fear i might have an even harder time though, so let's hope these lasts a loooong time! :)
Until then, thanks for the kind words and valuable comments!
