Wow, this setup looks really terrible :lol:
Still, very interesting to see and since these distributers get older and replacements are hard to come by (or cheap crap), the external coil mod seems to be a smart move. Looking forward to further developments...

My wife wants me to make daylights on the Blue F like the ones on Anti, so i ordered 100pc. leds and i'm waiting them to arrive.I already got 2 sets of spare Koito headlights in my basement(thanks to a friend) and i will open them soon. :D

I just thought, I might investigate in using the BG dizzy cap (maybe with a spacer plate) to convert to external coil. Thanks for the inspiration.

Just FYI, the BG cap has a different orientation and therefore wont work.
However, in case you are not aware of this, there is a thing called MSD Power Tower which can be used to convert your existing cap with an external connector.

Well, they cost next to nothing and provide an insulator that at least looks half decent so i thought might be worth mentioning.

MSD coil arrived.It has ding on the bottom side,maybe from the shipping :dontknow: , but overall looking good.Already made
an attachment bracket (with drying paint in the basement) :lol:
Tommorow will be fitting day(maybe) :roll:

And here at the right you can see the relay for the direct + from the battery:

It's a 70A so it should be safe enough for use :lol:
And in the package with the coil it came the resistor wich has to go to the + wire too, so it will be connected somwhere with the relay all together.

Officially Anti is with MSD coil. :headbang:
It pulls stronger than with the Honda stock coil.I felt it from the first kick down of the gas pedal.
Here is the bracket i made,i used the old bracket for the air box, DIY-ed it a bit and painted it:

And at the end i shortened the main spark lead so it is like that:

All looking perfect in my eyes, i couldn't do it better. :lol:
Got those spirals to keep the cables tidy and they did do it nicer.
Here is a drawing i did wich shows what i realy did on the car:

Once the key is turned the ECU gives the coil 12V troughout the + wire and uses the comutator to fire the coil as it turns on and off the negative wire.I simply used the + wire to activate the relay(with it's own ground) and that way to activate the direct + from the battery to the coil troughout the resistor from the kit(wich is needed when you have distributor type of ingition system),I use the original comutator from the distributor's module to fire the coil troughtout the - wire.That way i get to the coil the strongest voltage there is and put out the best performance that it could do with this set up of ignition.I hope you understand me.. :D
