Hi guys!
After 4,5 years driving in an 323F BA it was time for a change. Since a couple of weeks I was thinking to look for something else. It had to be more luxury, less old, a little bit quicker and last but nog least I rather didn't want a FWD anymore...
Two weeks ago I sold my Mazzie by the 323fclub.nl forums. Last week going to work by public transport was absolutely terrible. So last Saturday I searched for another car. First looked for a E46 Beemer, but I stick to Japanese vehicles... So I'm nowadays driving a 1999 Lexus IS200
First tiny mod, the lifter from an 323F BA fitted exactly in the original open holes in the chassis of the Lexus
One of the last pictures from the Mazzie:
Greets,

Sad to hear that you have sold the 323F. Happy to hear you have bought another Jap car and that it is the IS200. 1 or 2 UK members are looking for this car also. Nice colour aswell.
What do you think of the power, the drive and also fuel consumption? Are they bad or good? _________________ Record holder for the highest mileage from a 1.8i Exec BA - 428.9miles |

Well, the 1.8 BA is definitely slower. I think the power is quite similar to the 2.0 V6 BA. In acceleration from zero I think the BA V6 might be a little quicker in the beginning. But when the VVTI kicks in at 4500 rpm, the power of the Lexus is great Above 100 km/h the Lexus will run out. Because of the 6-speed gearbox it's pretty easy to pull it from 80-150 km/h in 4, 150 to 180 in 5 and pass the 200 in 6.
When both stock the Lexus is even better in corner handling as the F BA. I think the RWD is also part in this. The front wheels only have to 'steer'. On wet roads you have to be careful pushing the throttle to deep when cornering. The traction control doesn't assist directly (can also be set off)
I don't know the fuel consumption yet, but I guess it will be quite the same as the BA 1.8. Something like 1 litre per 10 km. Like any other car it's very dependent on your right foot. When playing to much the fuel consumption will increase hard... _________________

Loving the Lexus - let's hope we get to see you putting your own personalisation onto it, in the same way you did the F. _________________ I've always said - "One day I'll be able to afford a BMW, and when that day comes I'm gonna buy an Audi"

Thanks for comments! Well, I don't think I see a anymore updates to the Mazzie. New owner still didn't showed up at the Dutch forums..
About the Lexus, I don't think I'll going to modify it as much as the Mazda, but never say never... HID's are already ordered and I saw a lot more nice things on the Ebay _________________

I'm sorry, couldn't restrain myself working on another car again...
End of februari a unique grille from a Toyota Altezza RS200Z came across my path
The seller got a halfcut from Japan, he was only interested in the Beams engine. Besides of the grille he also offered me some RS200Z sideskirts and a TOM's coilover suspension set for a small price
The grille is matt black now:
After that fitted some 6000K HID high+lower beams:
The last 2 weeks I'm working on the wheels, they were quite ugly:
After some refurbishing this is the result (same wheel as picture above):
Drivers side (left side) is done, next week I'm starting the wheels on the passenger side (right side)
Last week I fitted the coilovers!
Before:
And this is how she looks now:
Still no problems with speedbumps, so this weekend I will put it another (half an) inch lower... _________________

I find it a very very sexy car as you might already know, keep it up. And you gotta look out for some more TOM'S parts( although they are very rare), their stuff looks awesome! _________________

Tonight I lowered it about half an inch further, now it's low enough for daily use...
