hi,

i have read in a few places some people have drilled their exhausts to add a tiny bit of oomph to their cars,

i had a look on here but couldn't see any thing, has any one done it here? and if so, where bouts do you need to drill?

many thanks

no chance, that wont add any 'oomph' at all, only a lot of noise and a great spot for the rust to start!

Laughing

To sum up, never drill your tailpipe. Either car nor person. Unless you're into that sort of thing. Cue "Maggie"! Laughing

all N/A engines need a certain amount of back pressure to give them a better kick and more mpg, so this is only draining the back pressure loosing your power. thats why if you have a hole in your exhaust it will drop in speed a bit. the way to go would be new headers and a sport cat (maybe) just to speed up things and let your engine breathe that little bit more. haveing a huge bore exhaust works well wih turbos because they dont require any backpressure compared to N/A engines.

I've got a big hole in mine...it's at the end Laughing

exhausts need to be "tuned" to suit the engine - too large a diameter will have a negative effect on performance, as will too small. Holes affect the venturi, which is bad.

Yep, if it's too large, the gas flowed is slowed down and you lose performance.
