thank you everyone who replied and welcomed me that was cool but still a bit confused as to where the breather filter should go? does it replace the little hose of the air filter hose and if so what do you block the air filter hose bit up with.also does having one of these fitted actually achieve anything. for my next question i have a 5" slashcut big bore exhaust i want to put on my car but have no idea how to adjust all the pipe work around it as i have the original box and pipes of the old exhaust any ideas thanx leigh scratch

Hi Leigh,

Hope these help a bit ...

My old 1.8 engine bay:

Close up of the breather filter. Just above the right hand side of the breather filter, there's the entrance to the air intake pipe. I screwed a dark coloured Hex bolt into it to block it off.

Does it achieve anything? No, not really Smile Arguably looks nice though Smile

Welcome aboard Smile

This should answer all questions buddy!

The filter fits in the pic below, you have to remove the pipe connecting to the air intake and oil breather. I blocked the small hole in the air intake with a blue expanding rawplug (as you can see)

I later removed the air intake pipe and replaced it with a custom stephens intake

Information on the breather or PCV valve as it is known

As for the exhaust, there will need to be some welding involved if it is not specifically or the 323f.
