Club 323F

Japfest 2004

This was our second official club meet and was a great day out!!! The day didnt start to good with Richardesty texting me 5.45am with the news he had streaded a tyre just south of Bingham (200 miles from Castle Coombe) and at that time of the morning it was unlikey he would find an 18" tyre :( After doing a quick bit of surfing yell.co.uk I was unable to find any usefully places. Before I know it, it was time to leave. I arrived at the Castle Coombe to find Danny Sunley ready and waiting and with in 30 minutes almost everyone had arrived.

Shortly after everyone on arrived Mark Tanner had his first track session and did pretty well considering the rest off the field!! Any howz the day tickeled on an before I know it it was time for Andy (1.5), Mark (1.8) and Darren Painter (2.0 V6 type-r) to have there main session. To say I was shocked was an understatement!! OK with the except of Darren straight line speed was lacking but in the corners all 3 F's seem to be better than most of the scoobys and supras in the field ?!?!?!? and Mark and Andy where in the mix for the majority of the session, while Darren was up front on his own most of the time putting in some really good laps. However torwards the end of the session some strange noise started to come from Darrens car :( Nothing session cos he drove home later but it sounded expensive.

So in all had a great day sun burnt to hell and back and a great time was had by all.
