White Dials

This is a quick guide to fitting white dials to your 94-98 BA 323f. The first thing you will need to do is remove the dash board in order to get to the console pod. Once the dash is off and you have detached the console pod from the car you are ready to go:

* Please note these instruction may change very slightly when the dials are made. See bottom of page.

Step 1
Unclip and take off the clear plastic cover

Step 2
Unclip and take off the black plastic cover

Step 3
You are now at the point where you need to take the needles off. I found that the needles are a bit stiff and by using dinner fork to get underneath the needles helped to a certain point. Once you have lifted the needle up enough to get a decent grip, use your fingers to pull them off.

One thing to note is the position of the fuel gauge!

FYI: Be careful when taking the fuel and tempreture needles off as their a little plastic stopper on the right.

Step 4
Now that all of the needles are off you can remove the dials by unscrewing the little black screw that are on the front of the dials. Take the old dials off and replace with the new dials and screw them in.

Step 5
The next step is to refit the needles. For the rev counter and speedo simple place the needles on the pins and align them so that once pushed down they will be right next to the stopper pins. The next needle to put on is the temperture needle align this one just above cold and push down. To test that the rev counter speedo and tempreture gauge are ok slowly turn them clock wise to what ever point you like and leave them go and they should return to the correct positions.

As for the fuel gauge align the needle to position you made a note of in step3.

Step 6
Put the two covers back on and replace the dash.
