De-Badging

When I first bought the Mazda I must admit I was a tad ashamed of the badge, not the car just the badge and I decided that I would get the car de-badged as soon as I started to modifying the bodywork. When my car was in the garage I was luck enough to be on site when they removed the badges so I am able to give you the details you need to know. Both the front and rear badges are bonded on and sit in a small recess around 1-2mm deep, this means that a little bit of work is required.

On both the front and the rear you can simply remove the badges fill in the recess with some form of filler, you will then need to smooth it out and get the bumper / rear red plastic strip resprayed. See below for before and afters.

In my own opinion debadging the front makes a subtle change that looks trick and debadging at the rear where the red strip need to be fully resprayed a big difference that changes the backend completely (more so the paint than the badge being removed).
