Remote Aerial Switch
This is a very easy thing to do as long as you know which wire powers the aerial and its not the big
thick one!! It is a little thin wire like all of the rest that come out of the head unit and it is up to you
to find out which one is correct as each head unit has its own setup.
In order for you to complete this task you will need:
Wire cutters or a stanley knife
Cable (I used speaker cable) and as for the length it depends how far away you want the switch, however far it is you will need double!
Once you know which cable it is, disconnect all the cables from the head unit so you dont electrocute
yourself, now using wire cutters or a stanley knife cut the wire in half and strip some cable on either side. Now
strip the ends off your extra cable and securely attach one end of the extra cable to the old cable and the other
end of the new cable to the other old end, then use the insulation tape to ensure that no bare wire is showing!
Now feed the wire to whereever you want the flick switch to be and cut the wire to the correct length (leave a bit to play with say 10cm).
Then strip the ends off the cable and attach one piece of cable to one side of the switch and the other to the other side of the switch and again use the insulation tape to
ensure no bare wire is showing.
Now plug the head unit back in and test.
